Cardio Day at BBC!

Todays workout was something else...Interval Cardio Training. We were down one player today (hope Libby feels better soon!), so we had three stations the bike, a pile of floor tiles, and a kettle bell with a canvas fire hose threaded through the handle of the weight. Sounds like fun huh?
So station number one was the stationary bike, number two was step ups on the mats, and three was the fireman's hose (you grab the two ends of the hose and using your whole body smack it on the floor...think Santa and his sleigh). I don't think any of us were prepared for how exhausting this was and I know that I will feel those in the morning...who am I kidding I feel them already!! The first set, we did as many reps at each station as we could in 30 seconds and then 90 seconds of active rest (doing high knees) we did this for 10 rounds and then 10 more with 30 seconds of "go" and 60 seconds of rest. Can I just say how much I dislike the bike - I mean for as hard as you pedal I really feel like we should be going somewhere not to mention that the harder you push the more resistance it applies. Not my favorite by any means, but we push thru and boy does it feel good. We worked our buns off today!! Great job ladies!!

I will eventually be adding recipes and pictures on the blog, but for now I will leave you with what I ate today:
Pre Workout: Toast with Almond Butter
Post Workout: Protein Shake
Breakfast: 3 egg white omelet with spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, cheese and tomato.
Lunch: 4oz hamburger patty with romaine lettuce and ¼ cup of cottage cheese
Snack: Strawberry Chobani yogurt
Snack: ¼ cup of cottage cheese and I baked a whole wheat wrap to make a pita to dip in the cottage cheese
Dinner: 4oz chicken, spinach, and sliced strawberries

Have a great night everyone!!!
