So far -

So bright and early Monday thru Friday myself and three other fearless ladies (Tonia sadly works out in the evenings) arrive on Taplin Road with our sneakers and water bottles in tow. The sleep very quickly gets wiped (perhaps knocked would be more appropriate) from our eyes as Ben leads us thru our warm-up. The first few days this felt more like the workout than the warm up!! Whoa Nelley!! The workouts have been anything but easy, right from the day one we have been challenged and pushed - but stepping outside that comfort zone with these three other ladies makes it easier.
For me the first two days resulted in breakfast ending up in the parking lot of Taplin road (and Shaw's, but don't tell), quads that were so sore I winced in pain get to sit down and go potty, and this general feeling of "oh my god, what have I signed up for!!" Since then the pain is subsiding and the workouts are getting more challenging. Today for example, Ben made sure we all knew how much he missed us...with Four Minute Madness. Christine and I were partners and Missy and Lisa were the other team. There were five stations. Each with different workouts that we were to alternate reps of twelve between the two workouts for four minutes before moving on the next station. It really got the old heart pumping!! After that we got to do the seemingly group favorite, push up ladders. Words can not express this exercise....push ups, half push ups, planks, holding half push ups. Eye Yey Yey!! I can't wait for those to get easier!! Then we had some fun! We used the resistance bands to pull each other across the gym and then pulled Ben across the length of the gym. Like Missy said - where was the camera for that one!!
All in all I can say that I dread that alarm going off in the morning - but I am really loving the workouts. Thanks Ben!!
